RARE VINTAGE J & G MEAKIN -
Vintage Turrine casserole dish
Made in England in the 1970s
by J&G Meakin Studio
Poppy pattern which was designed by Eve Midwinter.
The pattern has vibrant orange and red poppies, white daisies and olive green leaves, corn and seed heads, all on a white background.
J&G Meakin were earthenware manufacturers in Hanley
from the mid 19th century making tableware.
Their Studio range dated from
1964 and this Poppy pattern was designed in 1973.
Very Good - No chips or cracks,
slight wear/surface marks consistent with normal age related use
